I checked your way and type of image placements in the adsense.Its completely following the rules(as its shows sessionmagazine icon besides the ads rather than ads related images).
Test this ads for a week and then decide yourself what to do next.Moreover have you tried to change the fonts in your adsense ads(together with your blog default font family)?

Yeah, its better not to compromise with images as google hardly gave second chance for the adsense.
Thanks to your question that after researching, i decided to lay off “adsense beautifier” from my site.

Regarding the image issue with ads i just say “Images can be used together with the ads unless and untill they aren’t confusing the visitors”

Maybe it is not enough just to put field for subscription (news). My recommendation for you is to use big RSS button.

Yeah, if you read my post then you will know that these are the 10 options to increase the rss subscribers.I have a very big subscription option on top right sidebar and even on the end of every post.

Our aim should be to let the viewers know about the subscriptions and newsletters and you may follows combination’s of the above mention options according to ease and your use.

to change the rss buttons just use bigger images or use bigger subscription box.
L’me know if you need custom images and subscriptions box example.
