One more issue with my system is that whenever I play mp3 files the sound quality is not that good and clear as it is in windows.
I use xmms or VLC player in Linux and play the songs from my mounted drives which are a part of windows.
I do not think there is a problem with the players. Instead, the Linux sound drivers are not that good I feel, or may be the settings for the same. I tried out setting various sound option but found vey few! 

Kindly help me for the same!
