There are so much skin for Blogger available in http://freeskins.blogspot.com/. Just download a favourite theme ( file's format is *.css). Coming to edit HTML your blog section, replace whole css code, and click SAVE TEMPLATE. Very simple

If you know CSS, you can even edit them to make them more unique and personal - even if you don't know CSS, it's just a text file with values, like colours, fonts, etc. It's easy to just edit stuff and achieve results!

Thanks for the sharing the information ,it would be beneficial for newbies but for advance usage i'm agree with @rbobev.
The professionalism is in the root of css and html edits.
Follow these steps:
1.define your niche
2.define your color scheme
3.Juts design a decent logo on defined color scheme
4.Create a header and footer together with sidebars.
5.Generate the favicon from here
