    Hi there Honey,

I have a dell vostro 1500 with windows XP SP2. In the windows mixer panel, i am able to see only (Volume control, wave, soft synth,cd player and pc speaker)
The options like "Mic" and "Line in" are not available.

The audio codec is "Sigmatel C-Major". I have tried almost everything, installed the "Driver genious Pro edition" to get the latest drivers but no use, it seems that dell has disabled the features.
I have made a post on the dell's site as well.

The mic and Line-In are displayed under recording panel, but i need it in the playback, so that i can plug in my guitar or a cassete player or any other audio source and get the output from the speakers. Like a live play thing.

I have found some tweaks in registry but they are for vista. Kindly let me know if this option can be enabled or its a hardware incompatibility. I had a PC 4 years back and it had that option, so i still believe that these options have been disabled on purpose, but dont know how to enable them back.

    Kindly help.

P.S : Your site DJBHAI.com really rocks, i get most of the songs from there, got to know about that from Puneet. He happens to be my team-mate.

    Regards
    Saurav
