Microsoft itself knows that Internet Explorer (IE) is a burden some times and its very hard to remove it from windows installations.

Now Windows 7 have the control option to turn off Internet Explorer (IE)

    Well, it's about time. :)
I still use XP, and occasionally I have a need to turn off IE.
Using Windows task manager (processes) that sucker will keep coming back 3 or 4 times until it finally stays down.
