After confirming this, and also restarting Chrome I guess (using "chrome.exe --enable-extensions"), there's the IP bottom left. (And when starting without the parameter, no IP seen.) Alternatively, to install the downloaded .crx, run the following style of command ::

D:\Users\English\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –enable-extensions “f:\isk4M\Chrome\myip.crx”

Chrome v3.0.195.1 then asks “Are you sure you want to install this extension ?”
