1. sifyconnect: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Solution: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so.current_ver /usr/lib/libssl.so.4

2. sifyconnect: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Solution: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.current_ver /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.4

While trying "sudo sifyconnect" in Ubuntu 9.10 after I installed Sify Client I get this error:
##########
sifyconnect: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
##########

I can't find libssl.so.4 anywhere and as I am not connected to Internet I can't download it either.
However I've got openssl installed.

Hey! None of those dialers work with sify on Linux...

the only practical way is to tell the sify customer care guys to activate login through net and then they will provide you with a URL where you can enter your user id and password.

I will be glad if you can move the 'Reference' section at the top of the post, paste the link to the actual page from which you copied it and mention that this particular post is available under GFDL 1.2 (same as original text).
