Apple launches the newest version of ITunes and unleashed it as a iTunes 8, the newest version of its media player applicationITunes 8’s reloads with the new feature is Genius, which automatically suggests songs based on your selection of a baseline. Genius has two parts: the Genius sidebar and the Genius Playlist tool.

Anyway its well known that iTune snatches the award of  digital-jukebox software and now iTune 8 is now available for Mac and Windows. Features include a free download with no hidden charges for extra features, MP3 and pristine-quality AAC-encoding from audio CDs, smart playlists, more than 250 free Internet-radio stations, and the ability to burn custom playlists to CDs and MP3 CDs, to burn content to DVDs to back up an entire music collection, and to share music via Rendezvous over any network, cross-platform.

Note: The new version 8 of iTune adds genius playlists, a tile view, and HD TV-show support. Version 8.0.0.35 fixes a bug that caused blue-screen crashes on Windows Vista.

Features

  • This update sees the introduction of a new art-based Grid view that can be used to look at your collection sorted by artist or album. Mouse over the art to reveal a play-it-now link i.e Select Albums in Grid View and iTunes 8 displays your entire music library using cover art. Select Artists, Genres, or Composers and iTunes automatically creates groups of albums based on your selection.
  • A new visualization scheme called Magnetosphere, based on the iTunes plug-in of the same name, support for HD video, and the return of NBC to the iTunes Store.
  • As you select songs in your library, the Genius sidebar displays songs from the iTunes Store that go great with it.
  • A new playlists help you discover songs in your library you never knew you had and rediscover forgotten favorites.To activate the playlist, hit the atomic symbol on the bottom right of the iTunes window while you’re playing a song. The Genius algorithm will then create a playlist from the music already existing in your collection, made up of songs that it thinks have some connection to the first track.
