Bankrupt Spammer will pay $711m to Facebook for his phishing deeds

Facebook now breaths in fresh air after succeeding in setting up a model for spammers by winning a lawsuit of $711 million against a recent case of hacking and spamming by Sanford Wallace. (If you don’t know already Sanford Wallace is known as “Spam King” )

Facebook recently bombarded with the many phishing attacks (more info on CNN.com) where spammer drag the passwords of facebook users and then using their accounts for unethical gains via spamming.

If you don’t know already

Facebook sued Wallace in California District Court for posting spam messages on members’ Walls. Wallace has already been fined $4 million for installing ad-related spyware on peoples’ computers, and was fined $230 million for his activities on MySpace, according to MediaPost

Interesting fact: In early 2003 Sanford Wallace performs under the name DJ MasterWeb (Wallace was working as a DJ in New Hampshire and in nightclubs )

Though Wallace already filed for bankruptcy in June 2009 but on this 29th a Northern California District Court Judge awarded the Facebook with $711 million in damages against the crime. Now the questions is Can Facebook collect the $711m from bankrupt man? or Wallace will sentenced to jail for his criminal acts?
