New Campaign To Bring Focus On Wikipedia Video
Many might not be aware of the options of Videos on Wikipedia because the adoption of this feature is pretty slow and huge Wikipedia entries do have any associated video files with the content. With that in mind, Open Video Alliance is launching a new mass campaign to bring video to Wikipedia called “Let’s Get Video on Wikipedia,” to promote the feature and get more people to upload videos to the Wikipedia.
The blinding bright website of Open Video Alliance announced -
Today the Open Video Alliance is launching an important project: a mass campaign to bring video to Wikipedia. Moving images can communicate ideas in ways that text can’t. We think this is the next step in Wikipedia’s evolution. Let’s Get Video on Wikipedia is part of our effort to support both individuals and institutions who wish to contribute to this vision
There are about 4,000 videos on the site for now, but it is a lesser number when compared to 3 million articles on the English version. The chief reason behind users not uploading the videos could be the process of uploading, which is not difficult but of course a little tricky. So this new campaigns aims to help users with step-by-step tutorial explaining all the things required to upload videos to Wikipedia and add them to articles. Now we might expect a higher number of videos on Wikipedia!

hich creates it an thoughtful publish on your subject. In my opinion, you’ve presented the topic in a quite thorough yet concise manner, that is genuinely useful when someone wants to get the facts without spending too a lot time searching the online world and sifting out the noise to discover the answers to their questions. I usually get so frustrated with so plentiful in the final results inside the major SE’s due to the fact they normally seem to mostly be filled with filler content that often isn’t extremely sensible. If you don’t mind I’m going to add this post and your web page to my delicious favorites so I can share it with my family. I appear forward to coming back to check out your future posts as well.
