Gmail Now Gets Calendar Invitation
Google is never behind in coming up with great ideas and implement them. Just like that we have Google now introducing an interesting feature in Gmail that let users to add an event with each outgoing email. Users can check the scheduled of their friends, if they share their calendar, to check if they are available at a certain point and then send out invitations to all friends. The event is then added to all of their calendars. The feature is already live for all Gmail users.
Oana Florescu, Software Engineer at Google, wrote –
Since my friends share their schedules with me in Google Calendar, when I want to see a movie with them, I can check to see which nights they’re free before sending out an email about it. However, I need to switch between Gmail and Calendar in order to check their availability and send an email invitation,
Today, we’re launching a new feature that brings tighter integration between Gmail and Calendar, making it easier to create Calendar events from within Gmail. When you compose an email message, there’s now an ‘Insert: Invitation’ link right under the subject line,” she explained
You will find the link of “invitation” next to Attach a file”, once you click on the invitation, it will take you to create an event with Gmail. You can mention the time and the place and which calendar to use. It further displays your current calendar, in addition to those of the ones you’re emailing to. Obviously, you have to have permission to see those calendars first. It’s cool, check out!

Oh, a great write-up! No idea how you wrote this text..it’d take me long hours. Well worth it though, I’d assume. Have you considered selling banners on your website?
