Google Apps Has 25 Million Users Globally

Google is ahead in pushing its venture offering than other web companies. For the obvious reasons to secure its foothold in the lucrative market, Google is offering all its products quite aggressively. Now, the Mountain-View Company has made an announcement of another major milestone that it has achieved, 25 million users are now using Google Apps at work or in school. In terms of companies or firms that have switched to Google Apps, that number is actually smaller, just about two million or so.

Vivian Leung from the Google Enterprise Team wrote

Over the past year, we’ve highlighted companies around the world who have switched to Google Apps. And that means more than 25 million people have “gone Google”, including those at such globe-trotting organizations as Jaguar Land Rover and National Geographic.

Google Apps just had about ten millions users in the end of 2008 summer and about 500,000 companies/organizations had signed up to use the office and collaboration suite. Just in a year, the number had gone up to one million companies and the trend went faster in 2009 perhaps spurred by Google’s big marketing push.
