Google Docs Offer Any type File Upload, But It’s Not GDrive
Seems like the long-awaited GDrive, has finally arrived as Google now offer users to upload any type of files to Google Docs. Users are allowed to upload any file and share it of course with the person they want in Docs. The file site is limited to 250mb and the service will provide up to one gigabyte of free storage, with additional space costing 25 cents per gigabyte per year.
Vijay Bangaru, Product Manager, Google Docs says –
We’re happy to announce that over the next few weeks we will be rolling out the ability to upload, store and organize any type of file in Google Docs. With this change, you’ll be able to upload and access your files from any computer — all you need is an Internet connection.
Combined with shared folders, you can store, organize, and collaborate on files more easily using Google Docs. For example, if you are in a club or PTA working on large graphic files for posters or a newsletter, you can upload them to a shared folder for collaborators to view, download, and print.
Although the service might just look like GDrive, this is not the ‘GDrive,’ a Google (GOOG) spokesperson explained. “We’ve been continuing to expand on the types of files that can be uploaded to Docs. We started with documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Later we enabled upload, view and share of PDFs. This launch builds on internal work that we’ve been doing for some time.”
The storage service is been shared by Picasa Web Album, Gmail and Google Docs. And it would be amazing if YouTube gets share as well.

What if, we decide to create a few fake gmail accounts and then go to google docs and then make a folder in each of the fake account shared by our original account….
This way, can we increase our original account’s available space or what will happen????
I’ll try it tomorrow, but if you have an answer now, then it will be good to know…..
