Jajah–VOIP App integration for Twitter
We have seen hundreds of Twitter apps and now we have Jajah a web service and VOIP app that allows two tweeters verbally “tweet” for two minutes live on a phone. Both users must be registered user at Jajah for the call to take place. Of course all you need to do is to give your number which is reachable to you.
According to Jajah, “JAJAH IP Platform – the world’s only complete IP voice and messaging platform. Now carriers, internet companies, mobile operators and service providers can deploy and manage new, value-adding services and solutions fast, and low cost.”
In an official post Jajah states that it Gives Voice To Twitter. The beta service is presently only accessible to selected Jajah users. Those who desire to see if they’re among the chosen must first log into their Jajah accounts and check for a Twitter Calls link “under My Services” on the My Account page. If you don’t see this and yet want to try Jajah@Call, then must send an e-mail to twitter@jajah.com for an invite. For calling, you should log in to Twitter application via Internet or other device and simple enter “@call@twittername, (the username of other tweeter you wish to speak). Jajah will then ring both numbers, and you can then have a short conversation of about two minutes.
Twitter is successful in offering effective marketing tool for businesses and for real-time messaging tool for consumers. And if Jajah impresses more tweeters then business over this social networking platform will get easier.
In a blog post Jennifer Martinez of gigaom concludes that
The launch of these voice services for social networks have generated a healthy amount of buzz on the web, and only time will tell whether Twitter and Facebook will embed them into their platforms. While these click-to-call services aren’t the sexiest of applications, they’re useful and continue to encourage us to live our social lives on the web.
