More Search Options for Mobile Says Google

2 Comments » Share

More Search Options for MobileSearch Options tools such as past hour, specific date range, more shopping sites, fewer shopping sites, visited pages, not yet visited, books, blogs and news was expanded for desktop users earlier this month. And then we saw more demand for Search Options for Mobiles as well, so Google recently launches some of those options for mobile. The options are currently available only for users in U.S and for iPhone, Android or WebOS devices. You can filter your search results by “location” – that forums and reviews, and then refine it with (the last 24 hours, the last 7 days and so on). To access, click “options” after conducting a Google search on your phone.

Google gave an example for better understanding in their blog

Suppose you are shopping at a store for a camera, and you would like to see what users have been saying about a specific model within the past week. You can do this simply by searching for the name of the product. Then, on the search results page, use “Options” to filter by “Forums” and refine further by choosing “Past week”

However, Window Mobile users are not yet lucky enough to get this service. I hope Google develops it for WinMo and blackberries as well.
