We have seen Google Listen, Google Checkout Store Gadget, City Tours, Google Squared and a new member called Google Fast Flip has recently entered Google Labs. Google Fast Flip is a web application that allows you to discover and share news articles. It combines qualities of print and the Web, with the skill to “flip” through pages online just as fast as flipping through a magazine.

The homepage Fast Flip shows thumbnails and screenshot of the news articles. However, Fast Flip offers you many options to move out of Google to the actual site: clicking on the image, following text links to the original story, to the main site or the topic area on the originating site. Although you can enjoy flipping around the news just by moving from right to left or vice versa within the sources.

Krishna Bharat Explains “Fast Flip is a new reading experience that combines the best elements of print and online articles. Like a print magazine, Fast Flip lets you browse sequentially through bundles of recent news, headlines and popular topics, as well as feeds from individual top publishers. As the name suggests, flipping through content is very fast, so you can quickly look through a lot of pages until you find something interesting,”

Some of the popular news sources would include – BBC News, Billboard, BusinessWeek, Center for Investigative Reporting, Center for Public Integrity, Christian Science Monitor, CosmoGirl, Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Fast Company, FRONTLINE, Foreign Policy, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s Bazaar, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, Men’s Journal, National Geographic, National Review Online, Popular Mechanics, Quick & Simple, Redbook, SPIN, Salon, Seventeen, Slate, Smithsonian, TechCrunch, Technology Review, Teen, The Atlantic, The Daily Green, US Magazine, Veranda.
