Google Docs Shared Folder 300x77 Shared Folder and Multiple File Upload Option Now With Google DocsThe most requested, demanded or you call it most desired feature of Google Docs is finally out – the ability to share folders. This simply means users would no longer have to set-up unique sharing rights on individual files. They can now create any number of folders including preferred settings and further could be shared accordingly. Certainty this option makes it easy for individual and team for presentations and other collaborations at work.

Another interesting feature go live today is multiple file upload option at once. I have also tested this feature and I was able to upload 12 files simultaneously. You will locate each file separately placed in the main file list. There was also an option to specific folder upload option. Both features look forward to make users life simpler working on Google docs.

Vijay Bangaru, Product Manager, Google Docs speaks out in the blog

Once you’ve shared a folder, all of the items in the folder will be accessible to the group. You can also add someone to an existing shared folder to give them access to all of the folder’s content. Likewise, each item you add to the folder will be automatically shared. Just like with sharing documents, you can specify edit and view-only access for a folder.
