Twitter’s List Feature Is Now Live

1 Comment » Share

Twitter List Twitter’s List Feature Is Now Live Twitter has been very picky when it comes to introducing new features, but made sure whatever it launches delights the users. The month started with talks about its service called “Lists” that allows users to create, lists of other Twitter users, label them and share them with their friends now finally goes live. Lists feature is still in beta and there have been some hitches with the rollout but, already, it should be available to most users.

This announcement was Twitted by Nick Kallen: 25 percent of the service’s users had List feature enabled but as things got in progress, Twitter all of a sudden disabled Lists for everyone after realizing some performance issues.

We’re going to temporarily turn off lists for all users for 30 minutes or so while we investigate a performance issue
Kallen tweeted.

But then we are on Twitter and this kind of thing doesn’t daunt anyone anymore. The feature was soon restored and hopefully does not go off again. The idea behind List is to allow people to curate lists of Twitter accounts. For example, you could create a list of the funniest Twitter accounts of all time, athletes, local businesses, friends, or any compilation that makes sense.
