Hide ads on Yahoo Users Can Now Disable Ads On Yahoo Mail

It’s been a year that Yahoo is working determined reconstruction and reorganization. We saw plenty changes and additions, like Yahoo added Facebook Contact Importer then Yahoo joined hands with Twitter and other plenty of services were completely shut down. But one brilliant decision taken last year was obviously a bold one by declaring that Yahoo would start decreasing the amount of advertising on home page and will work on quality rather than quantity. Now, one spin-off of that decision is a brand-new option in Yahoo Mail that enables you to temporarily disable ads on the site.

Andrew Molyneux, program manager at Yahoo Mail, wrote

As you know, we are always listening to your feedback. Many of you that have small computer screens have told us that you would like more space to read your emails. You spoke and we listened,

To give you more real estate to read your emails, we are adding a button just to the left of the advertisement in the All-New Yahoo! Mail. Clicking that button will hide the ad temporarily, while you read your email.

It is definitely a bold move actually for any company for that case but particularly for Yahoo as it carries higher than average ad numbers. Yahoo says that the move would benefit visitors coming from small-screen devices, like netbooks that require all the space they could get on the cramped, 10-inch or smaller screens. The ads would turn up again and the only option to remove them permanently is to sign up for Yahoo’s paid service, Mail Plus, but it is certainly a welcomed move.

  6. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help stop content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
