Update: Google Chrome Extensions for Gtalk v 4.0 is compatible to latest Google chrome beta and developer versions.

Gtalk is the Google Chrome extension for Google Talk messenger. It is quite easy to install on single click which brings and Googletalk icon on the lower bar of Google Chrome. With the help of Gtalk extension you can start chatting immediately from any page of the Chrome.

Note: You can start the chatting by a single click on the button at the bottom bar which pop out the Google Talk in own window and sign in. In case you don’t have a Google Account, you can sign up here to enjoy this feature.

Google Chrome extension for checking IP

As per July 24 Google avail the extension features only on developers and beta versions of Google Chrome. In my previous article we launch the Google Chrome Bookmarklet for instant IP checking which can be accessed on any latest version of Google Chrome with the help of bookmarks bar. In this post we are launching the extension (*.crx) of What is my IP. Before installing any extension you need to read the following documentations.

How to install extensions for Google Chrome

You need to have Google Chrome developer version installed in your system.
Right-click the Chrome icon on your desktop and choose Properties then Go to Shortcuts and add the –enable-extensions in the end. (for example C:\Users\honey\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –enable-extensions ) – Resource available on Chromium Developer Documentation
Restart / Launch the Google Chrome

How to install What is my IP extension on Google Chrome

Install What is my IP (845)
- - Extension: myip.crx
  - File size:1.28 KB
  - Last Build: July 23, 2009
  - Requirement: At least Google Chrome Developer Version 3.0.189.0 ( Current Version on July 23 3.0.195.1 )
When you click on the extension file (myip.crx) it will popup a message with “Extension error” in case you forget to add –enable-extensions in the Chrome shortcut icon (described in initial steps)
Restart your chrome

How to install Google Chrome Bookmarklet plugin?

It is very simple and fast to have this option under your bookmark menus. First of all you need to cross check that your Google Chrome browser always shows the Bookmarks bar. In order to enable it you need to go TOOL menu on the right, click menu: Tools -> Always show bookmarks bar. The below image describe it best.

You can install the What is my IP by any of two options:

1.Drag and drop What is my IP in your bookmarks bar

2.Go to bookmarks bar, Right click and add a page like below image describes

The above options will bring a bookmarks manager and you can enter the following details into it Name and URL fields

Name : What is my IP

URL:

So, you can easily check the IP on a single click over the What is my IP bookmark.

20 Firefox Add-ons You Shouldnt’t Use

More then seven thousands mozilla firefox extensions available in Mozilla’s official extensions directory. Without extensions firefox has no spices and without extensions it shouldn’t count as browser. Some other web browser still running without extensions but how people managing their works?, I don’t know. Even, lots of browser developing extending this add-ons features such as Flock browser.

Maximum extensions are superbly working in firefox environment and developing frequentely to giving a stable versions to the firefox users. Even, I’m always using scribefire, alexa sparky, twitterfox, two column based google engine creator and delicius and some seo type add-ons. But, I’m entrying to enlist some non-productive extentions — that you shouldn’t use.

PS:These selection are on my personal experience and i have no aim to negatively market the precious time of the developers who spend the time on create above mentioned addons.My basic aim is to provide an unbiased reviews and request the developers to add some more exciting features in their corresponding addons.Feel free to condemned me with your valid points and i would like to answer all your queries.
