Today, Google is a huge company with several dozen outstanding products, yet it always strives hard for better future plans. Past year – 2009 has been exciting for the giant with couple of interesting release such as Google wave, preview of Google voice, introduced Chrome OS and Google Public DNS to name a few. So what does Google has in mind for 2010? Of course one interesting release waiting is the Google Phone – Nexus one, but then there is lot more to come from the entire team that can make our lives easy and exhilarating. Here is the Top 5 product that Google may plans to launch in 2010.

1. Google Phone – Nexus One -

By now you already know that Nexus One is the upcoming Google Phone and the great news is that it would be debuted anytime now in the Android Press Meeting. Nexus One is expected to display the latest generation of Linux-based open source Android operating system. In fact, this is also first phone that will be marketed directly by Google, in turn setting up extremely higher expectations for the product. Engadget has already reviewed the phone before the launch and it beings some interesting set of information you might link to know. The phone is also said to bring tough competition for Apple iPhone.

2. Google’s Caffeine Search Engine -

Caffeine is the next version of Google’s search-engine infrastructure and will soon be available to the wider audience. Caffeine engine is expected to offer technology to deliver faster and more accurate results. This version was available for test and there is no specific date for launch given yet, but Google is sure to develop it fully in early 2010. The reason for not releasing it in 2009 was thoroughly explained by Matt cuts. As soon as the search engine release the first threat will directly be on Microsoft’s Bing.

3. Google’s Ebook Store -

Google has always been fond of books and have encouraged it reader to take part often. With that love Google now plans to launch an online store for ebooks, which is expected to come in the first half of 2010. Google Ebook store will have half a million books initially in partner will few publishers. On the launch it is expected to have more than 500,000 books ready to be purchased from online stores such as Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com. This interesting ebook store will be a strong completion to Amazon’s Kindle, which is today the most popular ereader.

4. Google Chrome OS -

Google Chrome Brower was a great hit and recently it also moved ahead of Apple Safari. And next in store we have Google Chrome OS – an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted only at netbooks. Google has planned to open-source its code, and will make Google Chrome OS available to users in the second half of 2010. According the giant, speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. This OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems.

5. Google Drive – GDrive

Users usually have complained of not having enough space for them to store emails, photos, and files. With that in mind, Google came up the idea of Gdrive included in Google pack – online file backup and storage service from Google that integrated with Google services like Gmail, Picasa Web Albums, Google Calendars, and many others. GDrive allows you to access your files from anywhere, anytime, and from any device – be it from your desktop, web browser or cellular phone. Google Drive is highly anticipated and expected to be released in 2010 but it will only be an extended version of Google Docs. Instead of sending attachments, you’ll be able to upload files to Google Drive from Gmail.

Over smartness is defined as the excess tasks that can spoil the work and may outcomes as a negative results. Sometimes newcomers neglect the standard guidelines because they really don’t know about do’s and don’t s. Permanent banned from the Google Adsense due to excessive and intentional clicks is the most common example of the foolishness that people should avoid. There are many other reasons which should be considered carefully before indulging your excess labor over any websites and blogs. Most commonly people use Push and Pull Marketing for the websites and blog promotion but you should also need to avoid few blackball listed as follows:

1. Can i use hidden text or hidden links in the webpage?

No, you should avoid using hidden text or hidden links as you are not supposed to be a KGB agent. Hidden texts and links are the illegal way which is considered as the suspicious activity by the most of the Search engine spiders and renowned ad networks.

2.My page have Malware and Trojans in the form of suspicious scripts.

You should cross check your server regularly to avoid the malicious activities of XSS (cross site scripting ) which may install the viruses and Trojans in the form of iframes. This kind of activity leads to immediate and permanent banned from the google.

3.What if i used immense amount of same contents on different pages , sub folders, sub domains to get the better and more search engine indexing.

You should avoid creating sub-domains ,multiple pages or different domains with substantially duplicate or similar contents as Google seriously consider the duplicity of contents and results downgrade of Page ranks.

4.What if i set up affiliate sites to earn more money?

Your affiliate site should be meaningful for the Google bots and should not contain useless and spam’s links. On the other hand if the content of your affiliate pages is meaningful,unique and have valued for the users then it will automatically gains the value in the Google results.

5.What if i use automated applications , SEO tricks and software’s to get the better Google results ?

You may be smart but Google have all the authority to detects the queries coming into their servers so avoid using automated applications to get indexed in the google. Some of the applications like WebPosition Gold is officially banned from the Google.

Visit to the Google Office for Google Analytics Conference

On 8th August me, praval went to Google Gurgaon Office (India) for attending the first Google Analytics Conference in India. Though i didn’t like the talks that much but the overall environment was quit good. The best part of the visit was the look of the Google Office and the most enjoyable moment was the talk of the Jesse Nichols ( Keynote Speaker direct from Google, Mountain View). Jesse Nichols works on the AdWords Agency Team and is a “Guru” in both Google Analytics & Google Website Optimizer.

Some of the keynotes of the conference:

I think that conference is for the SEM agencies and the online marketing companies who are using the Adwords and Analytics for there clients. It include During the whole conference, i didn’t heard a the single words about blogs,blogging and bloggers.

Discussion with Koti Ivaturi – (Part of the Search Quality team at Google and in the role of a Strategist, he is one of the two Google Guides from India on the Google webmaster Help Forum) on Webmaster Central. We discussed few factors of Webmaster Central and the need of dedicated hardware’s for the highly traffic websites. He says that “Budget of common companies are so low that they don’t bother about the need of good hardware’s. Once they are popular and their servers goes down then they think of optimizing the site which leads to more traffic and hence a complete crash of the low quality server’s”. We also discussed few features of Webmaster Central ,Website Optimizer like Diagnostics tool , crawling errors , website loading time etc.
Discussion with the Amit Singh – (Customer Solutions Engineer at Google) on Bounce rates of the Google Analytics. We discussed few factors which may show the increase in the bounce rates at the Google Analytics Dashboard. We discussed a case study on a site for the possible reasons of facing 1.8% to 70% increase in the bounce rate after it is optimized and have better loading time? The possible pointers for this is the improper implementation of the analytics code, may be not placing the code properly on the every page.

There is lots of buzz in the market behind the story of Google Voice, so many cocky news, controversies with the Apple. Recently the CEO of Google “Eric Schmidt” resigns from the post of Apple’s board of directors( 2006-2009 ). There are lots of predictions behind the Google Voice, some of them are as follows:

Steve Jobs (CEO Apple) officially announced his statements as:

Eric has been an excellent Board member for Apple, investing his valuable time, talent, passion and wisdom to help make Apple successful,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Unfortunately, as Google enters more of Apple’s core businesses, with Android and now Chrome OS, Eric’s effectiveness as an Apple Board member will be significantly diminished, since he will have to recuse himself from even larger portions of our meetings due to potential conflicts of interest. Therefore, we have mutually decided that now is the right time for Eric to resign his position on Apple’s Board.

Sascha Segan of PCmag recently reported on an article on “Google vs. Apple War” that:

Google and Apple used to be the best of friends, but they’re looking more warily at each other these days. Apple’s rejection of Google Voice apps for the iPhone was followed relatively swiftly by Google CEO Eric Schmidt stepping down from Apple’s board of directors. That wasn’t a tit-for-tat action, but it reflects how the two companies are starting to see each other as competitors. And now, it looks like the U.S. government is taking sides.

To be blunt, the FCC’s bizarre investigation into the iPhone App Store makes no sense. It doesn’t spur competition and doesn’t really help consumers; the only entity it seems designed to help is Google.

There’s no collusion, no industry-wide conspiracy to kill Google Voice which would bring out the trustbusters. Net neutrality doesn’t seem to play a role here either. Google Voice is available on other AT&T phones, on T-Mobile’s two Google Android phones, and on Verizon and Sprint BlackBerries. There is no shortage of ways to get Google Voice on a smartphone in the U.S.

Larry Dignan (Editor in Chief of ZDNet) published a report on Google – Apple completions :

Now Google and Apple still need each other. Do you really think Apple will default to Bing for search? However, things have clearly changed. For instance, Google could get chummy with Research in Motion, which allows it to use Google Voice native. The iPhone base is huge, but RIM ain’t chump change.

Apple will have to rely on its developers to get the job done. And that’s why Apple will have to choose carefully when it comes to pulling apps like GV Voice on the fly.

I found this best statement by Arik Hesseldahl of Business Week that reflects some solid possibilities behind the Google Voice which may endangered the Apple’s AT&T territory:

Free texting, free long distance calling and reduced-rate international calling are all things that AT&T has a lot of reasons to actively discourage. The voice mail experience is also superior. If you want to save a voice mail message there’s really no easy way to do it from a cell phone without rigging call-recording equipment, and calling your mobile phone’s voice mail system from a land line. With Google Voice you can just download the MP3, and drop the file into iTunes where you can burn it to a CD, put it on your iPod or iPhone, or whatever you like. (I’ve asked both AT&T and Apple for a comment and will add it here if when either are forthcoming.)

My Views:

Google’s success is universally known, every big brands desire to compete with Google. Microsoft shake hands with yahoo just out of the desire to give a blow to Google, on the other hand every big brands like M$ , Yahoo and Apple are annoyed with the Google’s thrust and capability to gave blow in the face of new products and competitions. Google is ready to enter in every possible fields, leaded by others. Google Voice is clearly a red light for AT&T business but coming days shows the details consequences of this start. In the end these radioactive waves of contentions will definitely going to beneficial for the common mob like us !

Google’s Gmail Labs brings another one splendid features, without opening a new tab in your browser you can search for a query directly inside your Gmail and as well in your messages area you can directly copy and paste or alternatively drag&drop links to messages area. Whenever you need to share any information, you might don’t know the critical url or have approximate idea, you can try this options to get accurate links from Google engine.

“The feature is useful for navigational searches, when the top result is usually the best answer and it’s not necessary to click on the result. Mobile Friendly Google Product Search Available

In this morning, Google announced that Google Product Search is now integrated with mobile search results on the iPhone and Android. It’s easier to surf, find price comparisons and customers reviews too. As well, with Google products search maybe it has ability to search Google Voice.

The product manager of Google Mobile team, Yurv Pinsky says, “when you type a product query on Google.com in your iPhone or Android browser, you’ll get Google Product Search results nicely formatted for your phone. You can see online ratings, reviews, prices, and product details if you’re out and about, or just do some mobile web surfing from your couch. Whether you’re trying to decide between two digital cameras while you’re in a store or checking out prices for a new product that you’ve just seen on TV, we hope Google Product Search for mobile helps you to make better-informed shopping choices.”

Around two years ago it was called in Froogle and the new name Google Product Search which doesn’t impact in market but hopefully they will bring something smarter shopping systems in smartphones.

Google Maps brings webcams layer in maps around the world. By using the menu just enable by clicking on “more..” and select “webcams”.

Google maps using webcams.travel to aggregating the snapshots and webcamps.travel has more then 9000 webcams enlisted. “All the webcams from Webcams.travel are now available on the integrated layer of Google Maps. This was made possible within the cooperation of Webcams.travel with Google,” says Webcams.travel’s blog.

When you’re clicking on the thumbnail, Google will show ” “a snapshot of the camera that has been taken in the last 15 minutes”. You’ll need to click on the snapshot twice (first at Google Maps and then at webcams.travel) to get to the source and see the live webcam. — says Alex
