Since 2-3 weeks back we were planning on the uncertain Plan – a plan for the new year eve, a plan to be the bash , a plan to do the things that we haven’t done yet.First of all we plans for some hill stations like #dhanaulti and #Manali but when their were only two people who actually were ready for this because Praval have its practical’s , Prateek have its Office and Hitesh and Sid have their ZAT exams on 4th of jan 2009.Anyways plans are like a series of mental images and emotions occurring due to frustrations and a cherished desire of celebrating new year.

Do great men smoke?
Did they? Do they? Should they?
Smoking as we all know is the curse of the Beelzebub. We differ in opinions about everything but smoking offers only a mono perspective- a fall. Some might say- “who cares”: all brave souls. But this article isn’t about the effects of doping or about marking a merely delusional remark on the business of smoking industry, or carrying out a brief summary on the clinical cogent evidences about the hazards of smoking.

This article simply puts up a difference, so poignantly ignored, between the great and not so great people, as both of them derive smoking a part of their chauvinism, but clearly forget what the upcoming not so great generations derive from their act.
Let’s start with a Few Great Men. Mahatma Gandhi, for example Smoked. Yes he did when he went abroad to practice law but later he stopped realizing his mistake that it was against religion and law. Did Einstein smoke? He smoked cigar and pipe despite his wife Elsa and his doctors forbid him to smoke. Classic, isn’t it?

What about our American leaders? Yes, Franklin Roosevelt smoked cigarettes, and held them with an ivory holder. Some modern politically correct publishers are digitally removing FDR’s cigerates from pictures of him. Abraham Lincoln liked to smoke marijuana, Abraham Lincoln had 375 acres of marijuana growing in fields told to be corn behind the white house.

Forbid Leaders, Lets talk about the Musicians, now, as there is no doubt or question to be urged pertaining to drugs but still; John Lennon and the other Beatles were turned on to marijuana by Bob Dylan, and you can bet it wasn’t for religious reasons, it was fun. How to make a Rock Band?

To make a Rock band, one has to have a good knowledge first, not about playing but about the Genre. It’s crucial to know people at the first step, the right people and to be a good organizer. You don’t have to be a virtuoso as a guitarist to start a band, simple knowledge of chords may suffice. Now initially you need:

1. •    A Guitarist
2. •    Drummer
3. •    Bassist
4. •    Keyboard Player (optional)
5. •    Vocalist
6. •    A  PA system
7. •    Amps
8. •    Electric Guitar, Mics
9. •    Instruments
10. •    Extra strings, Drumsticks, Picks, Neck straps, and Drum throne (and a drum key, just in case)

Now, the first basic step is to learn the instruments. In the cyber world you have enormous sites offering you the ways of learning to play a guitar. In www.youtube.com  you can watch the videos and get your guidance as a visual method is much more fast and easy. Now it’s important for you to actually start covering songs. Though it sounds asinine in the beginning for a novice to actually cover it but if you start with the notion to cover the songs, you may well be able to get much ahead of our competition within days. You can listen to and watch your favorite songs being covered by different guitarists in an acoustic manner and augment your ability to catch music. Now, as a band, you’ve to select a place where you guys can rehearsal with ease as there can be problems at several spots.

When you’ve decided a place, ask your members to drop by daily and muster up a schedule for practicing regularly which should be comfortable with your band members.  Assemble daily and decide the songs which you wanna practice as the consent of the entire band is more essential than a person’s.  Mutually select the songs, settle down at five songs, and then start practicing them accordingly. Note that the band members are present daily. For practice, search the lyrics and guitar tabs at sites. Try sites like www.chordie.com which may help you as playing the right tab may sound more clear and accurate. See that the coordination between the drummer and bassist corresponds as this coordination is the most important.
Now when you’ve landed up at a platform where you know how to play at least five famous songs, and the vibe amongst your band members is marveling; it’s time when you should start performing gigs locally. But first, a desirable name should be decided. The name is the identity of the band, it portrays its diversity and style quotient, though many bands name themselves anything but an impressive name may be an ace for the band. Names like ‘Poor and Juvenile’, or something involving subjects, ‘Aftermath’, ‘Psychopathic’ can also be sought. Anyways, it’s in your desire to select a name. Now after the name has been sorted out, arrange for gigs like in parties, your living area, call upon your friends and collect reviews about how rocking your band is, ignore those pestering schmucks who would detest your prowess and envy your spot. And when it’s time enough to write your own songs, bestir your holy journey to a Rocking destination. Though it’ll be confusing a bit in the beginning but after a span you’d be writing songs with an ease.

Now remember

• Practice a lot with low volume or no amps on at all. Learn the songs FIRST.
• Don’t stop at covering songs. After you get used to performing, write your own songs. This can be very simple.
• For added soundproofing, raise your amplifiers off the floor. An amp placed on a chair will not transmit bass frequencies to your neighbors as much as an amp placed on the floor.
• If you hit a trouble spot in a song, don’t just ignore it. Discuss what’s wrong and how to fix it.
• You’re gonna need to promote yourself. Start by taking pictures with your band in various settings/environments. Staring menacingly, walking down an alley, standing in front of a brick wall, or looking off into the distance.
• If you don’t have a P.A. system, consider plugging the mic into a bass amp.
• DON’T plug a microphone into a guitar amp, the high and low frequencies of vocals will blow guitar amps out.
• If someone in your band can’t make most practices, then it might be time to replace him or her.
• Make a music video and post it into Youtube. You could also make a channel dedicated to your band.
• And now, you’re ready to get going with your band as everything you needed is with you; so make good music and whirl the headbangers. \m/

Its been the last days of my college life.The past 4 yrs in college was really awesome for me.I just remember when i was in first year i really don’t know how to run the PC and now the whole server room of the college is handle by me.I start my own “It Services” StartUp and its going on and on.
But now when their is only 5-10 days left why should i’m going to be emotional?
Secondly another agony of my life is ”Farewell”.
I think i’m the only guy in this planet who
haven’t get any farewell in his life time.(When i was in 12th my principal refused for the farewell due to some reasons.It was me,my X girlfriend “sonali”,my friends n their girlfriends.Principal just got to know about some love air environment flowing throw the school campus.Ahhh….!! He thinks that was quite enough to ban farewell “WTF”..!!)
Now when i’m in the College (Raj Kumar Goel Institute Of Technology) and their isn’t any sort of such things besides that our director thinks that “To organise a farewell outside the College is such a havoc for girls securities.(I m not is the state to describe what i’m thinking, if you could,hear my cry).I know its the time of my professional life but still man how come i forget my past? solidarity and support to the recent Tibetan Freedom Movements in Tibet and to condemn in strongest terms the Chinese security agencies use of brute force on the peaceful Tibetan demonstrators killing over 100 innocents Tibetans.

BURNING FACTS ON TIBET

• On Monday,March 10,the 49th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising Day,15 monks and 2 laymen staged peaceful pro-Tibet demonstration in Barkor area in Lhasa.Currently there has been no information on the monks whereabouts or their condition.
• The flame of freedom thereon spread and monks from Drepung monastery, Lutsang monastery in Amdo and Myera monastery in the neighboring province of Gansu defied authorities by staging a rare march into the streets protesting and shouting slogans for the exiled spiritual leader,the DALAI LAMA, to return.These protests have spread from Lhasa to all over Tibet both in intensity and scale.
• The Chinese armed police answered the peaceful protestors with gun fire, batons and curfew.Confirmed reports say that over 100 Tibetans have been killed while several hundred injured.Chinese state news agency Xinhua puts the number to 10.China set a surrender deadline for peaceful protestors and the government offered rewards and protection for informers.
• Lhasa, the capatial city, is reeling under extremely tense situation at the moment since the demonstrations.The Chinese authorities have imposed curfew in the entire Lhasa city with entry into city completely cut-off by posting many new check posts at all the entry points into City.All the roads and shops remains closed in the city with heavy presence of armored milatory vehicles and additional contingent of People’s Armed Police (PAP).
• Hundreds of Tibetans are arbitrarily arrested in the ongoing house-by-house raid Chinese security force in Lhasa beginning from 15 March 2008.All former political prisoners have already been rounded off and thrown into prison by security forces.
• Decades of repression in Tibet and closure of monasteries and violent blockage of peaceful demonstrators by the Chinese authorities have led to the current tension in Tibet.

Now a day’s we are busy in the preparation of a technical fest in our college.Its our final day’s in the college life now this year to bind all the core team we are utilizing twitter.Its the best way to transmit information among the bunch of people.
For example
