			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here is a quick and easy list that you can use as a guide. You can use this list as a checklist for the things that you can do to improve your website traffic. It will help you discover or perhaps, rediscover the facts that you might have already forgotten.</p>
<p><a href="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2009/01/upwebsitetraffic-thumb.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2592" title="upwebsitetraffic-thumb.png" src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2009/01/upwebsitetraffic-thumb.png" alt="upwebsitetraffic-thumb.png" width="620" height="300" /></a></p>
<ol>
<li>People like to win free things, whether it the things they win are essential or not. Everyone simply loves a freebie. To advertise your site and increase your visitors, you might want to consider giving a free e-book to anyone who will join the site’s mailing list.</li>
<li>Give away something more valuable like free samples of your products. In exchange you may ask your customers to give a testimonial. Testimonials add to the effectiveness of your marketing.</li>
<li>Gain people’s trust by creating an eBook you made yourself. This will put you in the “Expert” category and people will look to you for questions. They will trust you and your product.</li>
<li>Have a link where customers can get the website in the form of an eBook. This makes you more accessible to them. Or if you are into direct mail, include a DVD or a CD of your site in the package. This ca be given away by the recipient of the package and can increase your sales.</li>
<li>Offer something for free for each purchase the customer makes. This always translated to value for money.</li>
<li>Create a referral system. Give a freebie to someone who can refer a certain number of e-mail addresses of people they can get to visit your site. This will help create a mailing list for you.</li>
<li>Create an eBook directory. Place all the websites you have in that directory. Give another freebie to someone who places an ad in their own website that links to that directory you have created.</li>
<li>Make the eBook easily accessible and transferable. This can help your loyal customers distribute it quicker and easier, too.</li>
<li>Conduct a market research based on the contact information visitors give in your website. This will help you identify the markets you are not so strong on, and you can focus on them more.</li>
<li>Increase the number of people visiting your site for advertisement purposes by offering a place in your website directory. This can be used as advertisement space and you can even charge the people who will use it.</li>
<li>Take care of your customers and give them monthly eBooks or newsletters. This will let them feel pampered and remembered. You can place new products by the end of the newsletter to keep customer coming back for more.</li>
<li>Increase traffic by submitting your eBooks to websites that have shareware. This will allow people to download it even without visiting your site just yet. After reading the eBook about your products, they will be enticed to visit your site.</li>
<li>Sell reprints to those who want to sell the eBook you made.</li>
<li>Hold a contest for the websites that best advertise your content and give them free space in your website directory.</li>
<li>Tell people about your site and your eBook, and ask them for referrals, too.</li>
<li>Cross promote your eBook with other products and services. Some people may not be satisfied with just a freebie, so show those people exactly what you have in your company.</li>
<li>Give incentives to customers who are subscribed to your newsletters. These are people who spread the word around and get people to visit your site</li>
<li>Give away a freebie to those who will become your affiliate. This will increase the number of people who will advertise the website.</li>
<li>Give incentives to people who will respond to your follow up marketing.</li>
<li>Make sure that you keep people interested. Offer them new freebies as time goes.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> Self research and analysis is important part before listening and following any tips. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>SEO can be extremely baffling for blog writers, whether for a newbie or for gurus. The major search engines check out what&#8217;s happening on the weblog since WordPress happens to be set up in a search engine friendly way. Nevertheless you can find truly beneficial plugins that can make life for bloggers less difficult and it in addition enables you to rank better. The SEO extensions underneath are what I look at the ones that ought to be set up for each and every weblog you host. Regardless of what subject you concentrate on.</p>
<h3>1.All in One SEO Pack</h3>
<p>The All in One SEO Pack is included in every list you find and with good reason. It allows you to configure your page titles, Meta tags and keywords as well as descriptions for either your whole blog or for individual page by individual page. Another advantage of this plugin is that it is compatible with other WordPress plugins and every beginner can handle it.<br />
<img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2011/05/all-seo.jpg" alt="" title="all-seo" width="620" height="463" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-12530" /></p>
<h3>2.Permalinks Moved Permanently</h3>
<p>A lot of bloggers choose a wrong permalink structure at the beginning of their blogging career. Once you have gathered a few experiences you might notice that the structure needs to be adapted and changed. Herein lays a problem. If you manually change your permalink structure your traffic will come to a standstill until your site is indexed again. This could take a while. This plugin is similar to the Redirect plugin that is also available from WordPress but rather than redirecting traffic it manages your permalink structure. </p>
<h3>3.SEO Smart Links </h3>
<p>SEO Smart Links is important as it helps you to interlink your subpages to one another. All you have to do is predefine keywords that the plugin should link to other articles that focus on similar subjects. This doesn’t just help your readers to find other relevant posts but it also helps Google to see how well structured your blog is and will eventually turn into a better ranking.<br />
<img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2011/05/smart-links.jpg" alt="" title="smart-links" width="620" height="211" class="alignright size-full wp-image-12536" /></p>
<p><img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2011/05/Nofollow-Case-by-Case-200x150.gif" alt="" title="Nofollow Case by Case" width="150" style="margin-left:20px;" class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-12527" /></p>
<h3>4.Nofollow Case by Case</h3>
<p>The Nofollow Case by Case plugin allows you to decide which comment links, comment author links, pingbacks and trackbacks should be allowed to be follow and which should stay nofollow. As all comments are by default nofollow this plugin might come handy if you are a new blogger that wants to attract more traffic and encourage for readers to comment. This plugin should be configured as it otherwise converts all your nofollow links to follow links.</p>
<h3>5.Robots Meta</h3>
<p>Search engines crawl and index all your pages of your blog. When this occurs, it can happen that it creates duplicate content which you don’t want as Google could punish you for it. The Robots Meta plugin allows you to select which sections of your blog Google should crawl. </p>
<h3> Akismet (Bonus) </h3>
<p>This Plugin is from the makers of WordPress, and although it doesn’t have that much to do with SEO it is always on top of my list no matter what list I create as it is so handy that ever one should have it installed as it protects your blog from comment spam and pingbacks and trackback that you don’t want.<br />
<img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2011/05/akismet-spam.jpg" alt="" title="akismet-spam" width="620" /></p>
<p>I hope that with the above SEO extensions you’ll be a lot faster and more successful in your blogging. For further questions and suggestions don’t hesitate to contact me.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Beyond doubt Mozilla’s add-on collection is the biggest feature of the browser and with time passing by developers have created a great number of them to users. However, users always had the difficulty in managing the bunch of them at a time and so it created collections. And now this feature is getting updated that will make easier for users to create and manage collections including existing add-ons. Other major advancement were implemented based on how many used the feature so as to keep track of favorite ones.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-10369" href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/mozilla-addon-gallery-major-advancement/mozilla-add-on-gallery-get-major-advancement/"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-10369" title="Mozilla Add-on Gallery Get Major Advancement" src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2010/09/Mozilla-Add-on-Gallery-Get-Major-Advancement.png" alt="" width="550" height="114" /></a></p>
<p>Announcement in the Mozilla blog <a href="http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2010/09/03/new-collection-features-have-arrived/">reads</a> -</p>
<blockquote><p>It’s been just over a year since we introduced Add-on Collections, a way for anyone to create and share groups of add-ons for Firefox. Today we’re very excited to launch a major update to our add-ons gallery that makes it even easier to spot, save, and share your favorite add-ons.</p>
<p>With more than 64,000 collections created in the last 14 months, it can be difficult to find a unique URL for a new collection that isn’t already in use. We’ve changed the URL structure so that all of your collections are under your username and can be called anything you want,&#8221; Mozilla explained.</p></blockquote>
<p>Users that have created add-on collections just to save them can now add any add-on directly to a purpose-built, private My Favorite Add-ons collection. Collections now are easier to follow, share and edit. The new buttons will show up wherever collections are listed. Mozilla says the directory navigation has also been improved.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Google Chrome has truly come a very long way since its inception. Today Chrome is several times faster, boasts loads of new features and also entering in competition with Firefox when it comes to Extensions. Chrome came up with the idea of extensions in late last year, which was the most wanted feature by users. Many users are still afraid to switch from Firefox to Chrome because of less add-on comparatively. But it goes without saying that ever since Chrome introduced extension support, its users are as eager as anyone to add new features to the browser. Now when the Google Chrome extension is more than 6 months old and is growing steadily it would be a nice idea to review which add-on are more popular among users. With that in mind, honeytechblog did a latest review (to date) on Top 10 Google Chrome Extensions.</p>
<p>1. <a href="https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom"><strong>Adblock</strong></a></p>
<p>1,208,268 users &#8211; Weekly installs: 116,962</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-9809" href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/top-10-latest-google-chrome-extensions/adblock-2/"><img class="size-full wp-image-9809   aligncenter" title="Adblock" src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2010/08/Adblock1.png" alt="" width="350" height="278" /></a></p>
<p>Your favorite feature in Firefox finally comes to Chrome!  Block all advertisements on all web pages.  Your browser is automatically updated with additions to the filter: just click Install, then visit your favorite website and see the ads disappear.</p>
<p>2. <a href="https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/mihcahmgecmbnbcchbopgniflfhgnkff"><strong>Google Mail Checker</strong></a></p>
<p>650,543 users &#8211; Weekly installs: 47,547</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-9810" href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/top-10-latest-google-chrome-extensions/google_mail_checker/"><img class="size-full wp-image-9810  aligncenter" title="Google_Mail_Checker" src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2010/08/Google_Mail_Checker.png" alt="" width="350" height="244" /></a></p>

<p>When it comes to Firefox extensions there are two drawbacks, one is hard to pick few best ones from the lot and other drawback is that some of the add-ons are created, but has no use and many are not updated so will not work with latest edition of Firefox. Well, it’s not the same in case of Chrome, as it carry less add-ons for now and are of great use.</p>
<p>Easier the compare with the usage numbers. Firefox possess more than two billion add-on downloads to date. The browser is five year old, Chrome’s most popular extension is used by 1.1 million people and gets 113,000 plus new downloads every week. The most popular add-on for Firefox gets about 884,000 downloads every week. It has been downloaded by 89 plus million people. So it looks like, scale wise, Chrome still has a lot of catching up to do.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The main problem with the trackbacks/pingbacks are useless comments. Any spambot tools or person can spam your blogs and posts with useless linking. You can disable the trackbacks from wordpress dashboard but sometimes it is quite necessary to know &#8220;who links with your posts?&#8221; or &#8220;who plagiarise your posts ?&#8221;</p>
<p>The best option is to remove trackbacks/pingbacks from wordpress posts without disabling it from dashboard.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8994" title="trackbacks" src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2010/05/trackbacks.jpg" alt="" width="620" height="351" /></p>
<h3>Why i remove trackbacks/pingbacks from my blog ?</h3>
<p>Some posts like <a title="Top 50 Twitter Tracking and Analytics Tools" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/top-50-twitter-tracking-and-analytics-tools/">top 50 Twitter tracking and analytics Tools</a> have more than <strong>1600 re-tweets</strong> and 20+ trackback&#8217;s. Some of the trackback&#8217;s are from high authority blogs like <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/penny-c-sansevieri/brown-mms-or-what-van-hal_b_561029.html">huffingtonpost</a> but few are from low authority rss ripper blogs which is merely 2-3 months old.<br />
In order to protect the blog posts from spams i completely remove the trackbacks and pingbacks just from wordpress posts. I can still see the trackbacks on my dashboard but it is not coming on the blog posts.</p>
<p>There are some plugin&#8217;s to achieve the same but you can easily do this by adding a simple custom function in your functions.php file of wordpress theme.</p>
<h3>Custom code to be added in functions.php</h3>
<p><code>add_filter('comments_array', 'filterTrackbacks', 0);<br />
add_filter('the_posts', 'filterPostComments', 0);<br />
//Updates the comment number for posts with trackbacks<br />
function filterPostComments($posts) {<br />
foreach ($posts as $key =&amp;gt; $p) {<br />
if ($p-&amp;gt;comment_count &amp;lt;= 0) { return $posts; }<br />
$comments = get_approved_comments((int)$p-&amp;gt;ID);<br />
$comments = array_filter($comments, "stripTrackback");<br />
$posts[$key]-&amp;gt;comment_count = sizeof($comments);<br />
}<br />
return $posts;<br />
}<br />
//Updates the count for comments and trackbacks<br />
function filterTrackbacks($comms) {<br />
global $comments, $trackbacks;<br />
$comments = array_filter($comms,"stripTrackback");<br />
return $comments;<br />
}<br />
//Strips out trackbacks/pingbacks<br />
function stripTrackback($var) {<br />
if ($var-&amp;gt;comment_type == 'trackback' || $var-&amp;gt;comment_type == 'pingback') { return false; }<br />
return true;<br />
}</code></p>

<h3>Tutorial on how to show tags box on Facebook fanpage</h3>
<p><object width="620" height="400"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GRe2FEKcpho&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GRe2FEKcpho&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="620" height="400"></embed></object></p>
<h4>Step1</h4>
<p>Generate the tags cloud of your blog. (refer to <a href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/how-to-display-tag-clouds-without-using-any-wordpress-plugins/">how to generate tags clouds</a>)</p>
<h4>Step2</h4>
<p>Add a new post on your blog then copy the tags clouds from the blog and paste it on visual editor. (You can also copy the code of tags clouds directly from blog if you have simple knowledge of html)</p>
<h4>Step3</h4>
<p>Add this awesome application &#8220;<a href="http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4949752878">Static FBML</a>&#8221; into your desired pages.</p>
<h4>Step4</h4>
<p>Go to edit section of your Facebook page (refer to below screen shot)<br />
<img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2010/03/facebook-fanpage-edit.jpg" alt="" title="facebook-fanpage-edit" width="546" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8015" /></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most of the bloggers having different blogs (on same or other domain) wants to aggregate the updates on the same page. If you wants to show different blogs latest post links on a wordpress page then its very easy to show rss feeds within wordpress with the help of simplexml. The following codes displays the feeds from the single feed url.<br />
<a href="http://www.honeytechblog.com/how-to-show-rss-feeds-in-a-wordpress-page-and-posts/how-to-show-rss-feeds-in-wordrpress-pages/" rel="attachment wp-att-5884"><img src="http://i.honeytechblog.com/2009/10/How-to-show-rss-feeds-in-wordrpress-pages.jpg" alt="How to show rss feeds in wordrpress pages" title="How to show rss feeds in wordrpress pages" width="620" height="300" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5884" /></a><br />
<code>&lt;?php<br />
$xml_file = 'http://feeds.feedburner.com/honeytechblog';<br />
$xml = simplexml_load_file($xml_file);<br />
$xml_channel = $xml-&gt;channel-&gt;item;<br />
for ($i=0; $i&lt;5; $i++) {<br />
//print_r($result);<br />
?&gt;<br />
&lt;div&gt;<br />
<a href="<?php echo $xml_channel[$i]->link; ?&gt;"&gt;<br />
&lt;?php<br />
echo $xml_channel[$i]-&gt;title."</a>&lt;/div&gt;";<br />
}<br />
?&gt; </code></p>
<p> There are some parameters which can customize your requirements like:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>$xml_file =</strong> Feed Url for example i use <code>$xml_file = 'http://feeds.feedburner.com/honeytechblog'; </code>
</li>
<li>Value of <strong>i</strong> for no of links, for example<strong> i<</strong>5 shows 5 links of the feed</li>
</ul>
<h3>Alternate Code </h3>
<p>(tested on various clients blogs)<br />
<code>&lt;ul&gt;<br />
  &lt;?php<br />
error_reporting(0);<br />
$url = "http://feeds.feedburner.com/micro-news";<br />
$xml = simplexml_load_file($url, 'SimpleXMLElement', LIBXML_NOCDATA);<br />
echo $xml;<br />
if ($xml == "")<br />
{<br />
 echo "Feeds are down, Try again later";<br />
}<br />
else<br />
{<br />
$blog = $xml-&gt;channel;<br />
for($i=0; $i&lt;3; $i++) {<br />
?&gt;<br />
 &lt;li&gt;<a href="<?php echo $blog->item[$i]-&gt;link; ?&gt;"&gt;&lt;?php echo $blog-&gt;item[$i]-&gt;title; ?&gt;</a> &lt;/li&gt;<br />
  &lt;?php<br />
}<br />
}<br />
?&gt;<br />
&lt;/ul&gt;</code></p>
<h3>Note</h3>
<p>If you wants to run this php code apart from the WordPress themes i.e in wordpress posts and pages then you need plugins like <a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exec-php/">Exec-PHP</a>. Exec-PHP will executes PHP code in posts, pages and text widgets .</p>
