Zimbra Desktop Email Client 1.0 (Get It Free)
Zimbra Desktop finally the email desktop client 1.0 released publicly. In 2007 it was acquired by Yahoo Inc. And in last year they enabled lots of new features and start to competing with mozila thunderbird. Now it’s available for free and supporting windows and mac operating system.
According to Zimbra’s Web site, syncing to some of the third-party e-mail and calendar services within Zimbra Desktop appear to remain beta features, like Hotmail, and Yahoo and Google calendars. While the support for these last two has been expanded in that version – says Jessica. Mozilla Thunderbird email client is great desktop email client and it’s supporting both windows and mac operating system. I have already tried both applications and recently they open-up Zimbra Collaboration Suite which brings hosted email solutions for students and some enterprise businesses.

@Nitesh patel
Zimbra need basic details like smtp,pop and other which are already available with custum mailid based on server host or google apps.
So i think so need not to face any problem.
More over behind the colleges the firewall blocks the mailing clients so i think you might face problems.
